I work in information security for a small ISP. I tinker with technology in my spare time.

I’ve been a Linux user both as a hobby and professionally for over 20 years. I’ve been working with NetBSD and OpenBSD recently because I think Linux distributions have lost the thread with regard to flexibility and usability.

I’m also frustrated with the state of the modern web. This site is designed as a reflection of what I miss about the ‘good old days’. It’s deliberately plain text with no javascript and very little CSS.

Other interests include fountain pens, ink, and various other stationery.
